Practical referral links
This is a list of referral links. If you use one of these links and pay for a service we both get money off. I put these here in the hope that all my utilities bills and subscription services will be free forever.
It probably won't surprise you that I put a great deal of thought into every service I sign up to. I really think these are good and recommend them.
Proton Mail and Proton VPN
Proton Mail is a privacy focused email provider. Free email providers like gmail read all your emails to train AI, sell you hamburgers, or give your data to rogue government agencies.[^1]
Sign up to Proton Mail
*If you sign up I get $20 in credit, and you get a 2 week free trial and $20 in credit too.
When you pay for proton mail you also access to Proton VPN (and a suite of other apps). A VPN helps keep your web browsing private and allows you to view content that's restricted in other countries. You can even get cheaper deals online by changing your location.

Lebara (UK Only)
Lebara is a mobile network in the UK and much of the EU. In the UK it has the same network coverage as Vodaphone. They're probably cheaper than you're current service, have an easy website, and when you call them a human being picks up the phone. What more could you want?
Here's a relevant practical betterment: Switch your phone to an MVNO
